On Saturday, 24 April 2010 at 11.45am, Forty early carburettor V12 front engined Ferrari's from the Ferrari Owners Club of Australia drove to The Stanley Pub for lunch.
The event was called the David McKay Rally and is named for a chap called David McKay who was one of Australia's leading racing drivers and team managers in the 1960s and early 1970s. He was responsible for bringing a number of very significant racing Ferraris into Australia.
Whilst the Ferrari Club obviously aims to cater for all Ferraris, this event was only open to early carburettor V12 front engined Ferraris - essentially "vintage" Ferraris. The oldest Ferrari coming along was a 1959 250 Pinninfarina Coupe which was originally owned by David McKay and we had approximately 40 cars- mainly from the 1960s or early 1970s along.
The event was the biggest gathering of old Ferraris in Australia.

Millipedes

Millipedes are not harmful to humans, carpets or fabrics and those which enter the home
will soon die in the dry conditions...

Check out http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2009/05/11/2566690.htm

You may wonder why I am discussing millipedes on my blog, but they are infiltrating the North East of Victoria at this time of year and whatever we do...they keep coming! Walking to work this morning they were all over the road with their 50 to 100 or so legs doing their thing!

Disgusting, I hate them and now even more so...we had accommodation guests that refused to stay with us because of "the worms all over the carpet"

Welcome to the country!
